Projects Lightweight Anima
A children's Hummingbirds book was repurposed to express the heaviness of the Covid years and our ongoing ecological woes. These burdens, on the backs of such small, delicate creatures, are explored through a conceal & reveal process where some of the book's original text and photographs remain visible while others are whitewashed with primer. What remains is transformed through ink, watercolor, and collage.
